I highly recommend this movie if you are a comedy fan. Once you watch it, go ahead and continue with The Camera Man (1928) for more.
"I never told my ambitions and efforts and failures to anyone. I listened unmoved to the sneers and ridicule of various relatives who thought my scribbling rank folly and waste of time. That never disturbed me at all. Down, deep down, under all discouragement and rebuff I knew I would arrive someday." - Lucy Maud Montgomery

College (1927)
I'm re-watching Buster Keaton's film College and it's remarkable how modern this film looks. Just think of how movies looked ten years prior. The comedy is so sharp & precise. Zero overacting. The stunts, like always, iconic. Keaton's acting is always natural, not to mention his amazing physicality (watch the scene where he tries some campus athletics. There was a lot of muscle packed in his tiny body). Silent film at its finest.
I highly recommend this movie if you are a comedy fan. Once you watch it, go ahead and continue with The Camera Man (1928) for more.

Easter Parade (1948)
When I was 13 I had the VHS, the soundtrack AND I performed Judy's parts 'til I dropped.
I will never be as cool like that again.

Frequency / Crush - 1995
"What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" & "Crush With Eyeliner"
Two of the greatest songs of the 90s. R.E.M.'s entire 'Monster' album is amazing. Check out bassist Mike Mill's purple nudie suit. I had a massive (MASSIVE) crush on him back then.

He is Big Bird (and a part of us, too...)
It's hard not to get emotional watching this. The man has dedicated his life to teach us and to give us great childhood memories. Can't wait to see this. Caroll Spinney is a true living legend.

93-year old Mary Ellis flies a Spitfire
Found this gem on YouTube. The original video is from 2010 when she was 93. You can also read a recent article published just this past March 10 about Mary Ellis, now 98 years old, who is still active and flying her precious Spitfire. Here's a link:
Mary Ellis was a Spitfire pilot in WW2. At 98, she still flies
I'll write a lot more on this, but it is 2am and I have to go to sleep!

"Reports, Coffee or Lunch": Marvel's Agent Carter 1x07- "Snafu" Review
Agent Carter a favorite from the Captain America movie. Happy to see Dominic Cooper back as Howard Stark, even if only for the "Previously On" bit at the start of the episode.
By the way, a quick historical tidbit: SNAFU is a WWII
military slang that meant "Situation Normal, All Fucked Up (or Fouled Up).
Which is basically, what happens on this episode.
Russia 1943 - Like I always say history makes everything
better and a series set in the 40s made it one of my favorites before I had
seen a single episode. At this point, I'm not paying a lot of attention to what
their saying. We are in a medical camp in a Russian front line and they have to
amputate a young soldier’s leg. And immediately we get a flashback in a flash
back and already I'm wondering where Peggy Carter is. She was arrested in the
last episode and I don't know who any of these people are.
Patience is not one of my strong suits.
"Dean Winchester vs. Zeus": Supernatural 10x14: "The Executioners Song" Review
I don't watch the shows live. I record them on my dvr and watch them the next day. I always see the last two minutes of the Flash. This one has the bad guy from Highlander being attacked by a giant gorilla. According to my brother, the gorilla is a famous character from the Flash Comics. I nod and move on to Supernatural.
I became a fan many years ago, after working on TV conventions and actually meeting Jared Padalecki and Jim Beaver in person. I was a personal assistant to both before I watch a single episode. And thank goodness I did. If I had to work with Jared nowadays, I'd be giggling like a heart-struck twelve-year old. But back then, it was just a job. I could go on about my experiences as an old P.A, but this is about the new episode of the tenth season of the show, so on to the review.

It's Tricky...
I was just watching RUN-DMC's video for "It's Tricky". And not the updated version from the nineties, I was watching the original 1986 version in all it's faded, VHS-era fullscreen glory. Ah, the memories.... I'm watching it on my Playstation 4 on an app I installed called Vidzone. It's basically a radical new idea where you can actually watch videos of your favorite music artists, one after the other. If a network like MTV or VH1 caught on that idea, there is no telling how far they'd go with it!
Always Best to Start at the Beginning
And in this case, it's best to start with a new year. It's January 2015. So I guess it's best to start at the first month of the year.
