"I never told my ambitions and efforts and failures to anyone. I listened unmoved to the sneers and ridicule of various relatives who thought my scribbling rank folly and waste of time. That never disturbed me at all. Down, deep down, under all discouragement and rebuff I knew I would arrive someday." - Lucy Maud Montgomery

Confessions #1
When I was 12 years old (c. 1994-1995) I had a MASSIVE crush on R.E.M.'s Mike Mills.

The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us....
Late night watching a movie. I'm eating seeds and I look up to see this. Gerard Butler knows what's up. Am I supposed to go on a quest and find him now or something?

*All joking aside Chasing Mavericks was a good film. I cried real tears. Big ones. Unexpected.

Pet Peeves #1
People who start a post with the heading "Unpopular Opinion".
They want to take a stand on a issue, but already are afraid others won't like it.
Grow some balls or don't say anything at all.
Judy Garland - The Joint is Really Jumpin' Down at Carnegie Hall (1943)
She sings: "I said to hear you get in the groove".
Forty years before Madonna.

Glenda Collins - Been Invited to a Party (1965)
Great song. Only video I could find, though. =/
Unless you're really into scooters, then it's totally fine.

Leo Dan - Mary Es Mi Amor (1971)
Great singer/songwriter from Argentina. I listened to his records since I was thirteen or so (by raiding my mom's collection, of course). Her name is Mary so she remembers this particular song fondly. Beautiful lyrics, gorgeous voice and a nice, groovy beat.
Music in Spanish in the 1970s was always so epic!

The Ramones - Baby I Love You (1980)
I could have posted the original by the Ronettes, but I had to post this version instead. I love both versions equally, but this one does have a bit of a special place in my heart.
